Angry Tako (11x14" Limited Edition)

$149.00

Tako (蛸) is the Japanese word for octopus. I call him angry because he bit my hand and broke skin after being caught.

This octopus was hand caught in the Sea of Japan. Using the ink sack from the octopus mixed with water colors, the octopus was painted and then stamped on rice paper in the traditional Gyotaku style. The only "brush" used to create this image was the octopus himself. After printing, this octopus was enjoyed with many friends and a cold bottle of sake.

Comes framed, matted and signed on legacy supreme paper.
